Carnetix or Opus

All of the items for my Carputer are being shipped except the power supply. My carputer is Sumicom sp625 (Pentium Mobile 1.6ghz processor) + Xenarc 700 TSV + 7 Port USB HUB + Creative Audigy2 NX.

The guys at carnetix were very helpfull and guided me in the procsess. The Carnetix P1290 PSU is the powersupply i want however its still not available. The next option is an OPUS 150 but the guys at Opus never even replied to my emails. The P1290 has the pulse start and the amp remote switch. There is more info on carnetix stuff and thier website is more infromative. I need to install everything as soon as i can. Any suggestions?

I believe carnetix is not a power supply it is only a power regulator with built in startup and shutdown controllers. Your case must already have a power supply for it to work

Atleast that is how the 1260 & 1280 are

For SP625, you should be ok with carnetix. You don't need extra power supply.

If you can't wait for the P1290, the P1280 would work for you also. I believe the MP3Car store still has a few in stock.

How do you like the SP625. I am thinking about getting one. I had a Cappuiccino TX3 that just bit the dust after three years of use. I really like that unit. Thanks, John

i got the opus 150w, it's great. everything rolled up into 1 package, I couldn't ask for more. plus it's configurable how long you want it to stay on after you turn the car off..
