Old machines like yours usually dont like itwhen you just stick a memory module with different size or clock speed in the slot. be sure to stick The 128mb RAM in the first slot and then the 64mb RAM on the second. You should get a fan spin anyways, but just in case!

tried that but all i get off of the psu is a flash of light on the ethernet after i plug it in then it goes black ...same thing that happens with the 64 mb ram by itself.

Hmmm you should probably start looking for a new PSU. Doesnt cost that much anyways. However, do you smell any burned electronics? Take the PSU apart and see if there is something "exploded". PSU Fan not spinning is usually a very bad sign!
