Overheating or Corrupt install?

well guys today in the uk west mids, the temp was above then normal. Also the carputer is in the boot and it produced more BSOD's then normal. So was this a heat problem or just a corrupt install. I have had BSOD loads of times so today i removed the cover of the carputer and left a naked board and fan and look, it worked 100% only turned off once probaly because of Low voltage. So is this a heat problem or corrupt install or am i making wrong assumptions?

Sorry to thread hijack but I was a little concerned about the temp on my screen today, had to drive round with the sunroof shut :-( to stop the sun going on it.

The crashes you are getting could be related to heat, does it seem ok when the system is cold??

yea its fine once i leave the case off, also regarding lilliput ,xenarc etc. My lilliput wire literally started burning. Right after the ciggarette light plug and before the egg the wire plastic burnt and 2" of wire is now naked. It just smoked out of the blue? So tomorrow im wiring up to my opus, not safe at all to that egg or through dirty cig lighter power.

Sometimes issues that appear to be heat related are memory related. I learned that the hard way, after spending $300 to fix a "heat problem" that ended up being a $25 stick of RAM.

k thanks, ill check ram, for some reason i thought it was ram before but got convinced that it was heat.

No harm in adding a fan or venting air in from the cabin.

unless you're an idiot like me and spend a wad of cash and lots of time to do that, only to find out that it's a $25 stick of ram that was causing the problem in the first place
