Hello, I would like to build a PC for my car. I plan to build an acrylic case for my spare computer parts. I would like to run Microsoft Streets & Tips (or is there a better GPS program w/ locator for Canada?), Webcam (for reverse/night vision), and MP3 / Movies. I plan to purchase a 7" LCD from a local chinese electronics store... or I can splurge $200 CAD more for a touch screen.
Would this system be adaquete?
Athlon 900
512 MB PC133
GeForce 256 DDR Deluxe or GeForce 3 Ti200 or GeForce 4 Mx(..forogt)
SoundBlaster Live
fireball 20 GB
16x dvd rom
MX Duo
What else do I need? Other then a good power inverter. This would be a start, so I dont need anything fancy. Would the text be readable on a 7"?
Thanks.
Oh, how are 7" lcd usually powered by? and what power supply should I look for in the system listed above? 160, 200, 230 watts are available at my local computer store, what Amperage do I need if I were to power the LCD from my PSU? It gives +12v = 8A, -12v = 0.3A for the 160 watt.
