I'm assuming you already connected it to a 5V line. Your problem might also be if you're using a non powered USB hub.

I'm assuming you already connected it to a 5V line. Your problem might also be if you're using a non powered USB hub.
Your IDE cable might be upside down causing the drive to not power up. If it won't even eject, that's probably the problem.
The USB 2.0 warning will come up every time you plug a USB 2.0 device into a non-USB2.0 port.
Error 10 means the device isn't 'starting'. Try downloading the drivers to your system, then installing.
what drivers? for the usb hub ? or the ide to usb adapter ?
Cris what 5v line ? i just connected the long 40 pin thats it

Cris can you show me where i have to connect in the adapter ?
On the back of the slim dvd unit there is a floppy style connector. Connect the floppy molex from the PSU in there and this way the slim DVD unit is powered. If you extend those wires, you'll only need the red one (5V) and the black one, right next to the red one (gnd for 5V). The yellow one is 12V and the one right next to the yellow one is the gnd for 12V. For a slim dvd, you'll only need the 5V lines.
The connector in the left is the one I'm talking about.
