Digitalww over $200 more for same unit?

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...spagename=WDVW

That unit is identical to the unit DWW-710L at digitalww.com

    http://www.digitalww.com/DWW-710L.htm

I just got confirmation that the one on ebay has a vga input, so I don't see how this is not a really crazy deal. Has anyone done buisness with this guy before? His ebay page saya that he is an authorized lilliput distributor and he has great feedback.

Any and all comments would be apreciated, as I am tempted in ordering from him, as he also includes a one year warranty.

The price differential is compelling, if they are in fact the exact same item ($254 after the $28 shipping, $248 if you get the shipping insurance). The only drawback: Hong Kong.

The warranty is a plus, but if there is something wrong with it, you'll have to ship it back to Hong Kong for at least $28. You'll also have to pay to ship it back, so it will be at least $56, plus whatever time it is out of service for.

Someone else posted about this recently. Search on terms "digitalww" and you'll find a thread about a big price differential.

well, the way i look at it, is if he cant treat a $15 purchase the same as $650 purchase, I'll take my business elsewhere. Generally for a companys that dont have a huge reputation I'm not gonna go all out and spend $650. If i had to wait 4-5 weeks for something I spend $650 on, i'd be more then a little ****ed off. Especially since I coulda save over $200

I had a problem with my 700M, and Marina over at DWW was SUPER helpful. You have a better chance of getting in touch with someone if you call and select the Customer Service option. They've recently changed their phone system, and are much easier to get a hold of now. But I'd have to say that the warrenty is a huge thing. They replaced my unit with the 750J no problem, after the 700M had been installed and used for two weeks. That kind of service will keep me paying a little bit extra. I've never, and will probably never buy something on Ebay that I was expecting to be "supported." Maybe others have had good luck with it, but it doesn't seem worth it to me.

Yeah, but seriously, a 200 difference on a 400 unit doesnt really compensate it.... its like choosing:

would you buy a 60,000$ car or would you buy the same car for $30,000 without warranty?

(I know it is probably easier to find out what the problem is with a car than with one of these lcds, but 50% isnt a good price margin for warranty only...)
