basic answer to both questions is yes...
on sproggys psu there is a jumper(or was) that linked both +5v outputs together.... so link all +5v's at connector together. easiest way is cut wires and connectors from a blown psu...
Hi everyone.
Ok now I've almost finished sproggy's power supply, so I have 2X 5vDC, 1X 12vDC, 1X -12vDC, and 1X -5vDC.
Now, according to this AT mobo diagram I have, there are 12 pins to connect.
The pin diagram I have is as follows:
(P8)
1) Power Good (not used, right?)
2) +5v Red (or n/c - what does this mean?)
3) +12v Yellow
4) -12v Blue
5)GND
6)GND
(P9)
1) GND
2) GND
3) -5v
4) +5v
5) +5v
6) +5v
Ok, now my question is, there are 4x 5vDC to connect, however sproggy's psu only has 2X +5v outputs. Which of these do I connect to the PSU and what do I do with the ones I don't connect? Or do I connect them all?
Also, if I don't connect all the +5v inputs, do I still ground all the GND inputs?
And finally, how do I connect the HDD. The HDD also required +5 and +12vDC...so do I just tap the +5 and +12v lines from the PSU??
Sorry if these are dumb questions.
Thanks in advance
Regards,
Michael
