M10000 and PCI riser (or cable)

Anyone know what PCI riser would place a sound card as close as possilbe to the board? Right now I have a SB Live 24 bit (Half height) card with no PCI plte (no mount) on it. I have a M10000 but want to put the Sound card righ above the printer port (I'm thinking this will save space but I really need to look at it. If the PCI riser is taller than this half height it's a waste for me to even do it. I'm just wondering if anyone has found a killer PCI riser thats low profile. I can not deal with the on board so I got this card and I like it, Though right now it is the tallest thing in my Truck pc. Anyone have a line on the PCI riser/ext cabled ones? I could relocate the card under the machine and make it smaller that way. I could even build it if needed.

I used a ribbon cable riser card on my M10000. Just Google up "ribbon cable riser card".

I had the same need... I found one, but it took some trial and error - When I finally had one that faced the right way, it stopped the unit from booting... I went through several different cards before finding one that worked.

I'll try and dig through my records... I cant remember where I ended up... just that they had a TON of all different kinds of risers... left right... sideways, 16 bit 32 bit... Mabye mycabelshop.com.... something like that

Problem is the riser from Logic supply is what I can get a usb SB live for. I'd hate to spend as much if not more than I did on the sound card just to move it somewhere. I'm throwing around the idea of placing the unit under the seat, atwhich point height is no longer an issue. It appears the cable ext is the only way to go for me as the PCI riser is as tall as the SB live... hmm Extigy... are they even worth the money? What i really need is a 4 to 7 volt pre-out, my amps are really finicky with low voltage in.
