    Most Powerful Opus based system?

After reading lots of your lovely FAQs, and a number of threads around the place, I take it the fastest P4 based system I could build around a OPUS 150W power supply will be 2.4 512/533 with Insight P4 ITX MoBo? I don't want to go the inverter route as I have enough powerdrain from 3 power amps, and I live in the UK which means more work for an inverter to convert to 240v.

The system I'm building will include a USB wireless adapter, USB GPS receiver and a Xenarc display upfront, which I have been running directly from the car's loom and not from the Opus, no probs so far so I take it its ok like this. I could also fit a slimline dvd drive, but can easily do without should I need to save power. A single, large capacity 3.5 drive should suffice, and no fans needed as I will be watercooling the system via an eheim 12v pump.

Have read 12pages of Dragon's post, seems to be talking about a 150W powersupply thats a lot smaller than the opus? Got a link to this 300W Dc to Dc converter? And whats the fastest rig you can run off that psu?!

Go to the last 1,2 or 3 pages... the 150w was going to arrive in the US at practically the same price as the opus, so he has now developed a 300w version in the same size!

Although there are pictures of this i wouldn't recomend it to people until he has a release date and a place to buy and before they have been tested by mp3car.

Opus has a great name... it means reliability. Do a quick search with opus 150 and look at all of the results and start reading through. I don't think anyone has broken the 3.0ghz in a car pc with the opus 150. 2.0-2.8 i think.

Opus reliability? I'm not really sure as more and more people seem to be complaining... (I have one and it is working, I have another one waiting to go into my dad's but I'm getting scared the more I read mine hasnt been surviving crank, and I dunno anymore if it is my battery, my opus or what...)

Yeah thats what I meant, same size as his already smaller psu
