Anyone have any ideas???????
I have a small 5 1/4" socket 370 SBC that had a bad battery, The battery was soldiered in. I went to battery source and picked up the battery. Useing a low powered soldiering iron I touched both ends of the old battery heating up the soldier and just poped the battery out...it took very minimal effert and I soldiered in the new battery. Reinstalled the board and now the processor fan spins, but the board doesn't post, no beeps, nothing. I took the new battery back out, inspected the board to make sure nothing had gotten shorted. I couldn't see anything visible. I tried to power it up with the battery removed and still nothing. I have treid resetting the bios. still nothing.
I was grounded during all the work.
Any ideas?

you have the battery in the correct way?
Audio: Alpine PXA-H700 DSP, Rockford Fosgate Punch P4004 amp, P152S Comps and Alpine SWR-1242D Sub
PC: BU-303, SB Audigy 2 ZS, Jetway 1.5Ghz, Cubid case, M2-ATX PSU, New 700tsv
Toys:K8055 relay board, Elmscan OBDII
Type-R Mini
you may need to reset the CMOS
connect (or disconnect) the jumper for the CMOS and let it sit for 30 seconds (battery connected)
then put the jumper back and see if it posts

tried to check the new battery with a multimeter? Might have killed it soldering
alternativly has the solder taken properly (multimeter again, this time check from the board mountings)
Just checked it again to make sure. 3.7 volts, says 3.6 on the front so I am guessing it's good. Anything else? LoL
