    Electric locks interface? 2 wires?

Hi everyone. I have a quick question. I just got electric locks for my minivan. Before I install them I have a few quick questions. The receiveng module has two wires which are supposed togoto the alarm. I don't have an alarm, but I'd love to interface them to my carputer, and use my other remote if possible. Does anyone know howto use these wires? Is it just dropping 12V in them one way to lock, and the other to unlock? Or is it just closing the gap locks them?

It could just be to lock. Alarms only need to lock.
Oh duh! How would you get back in? Er, did it come with instructions?

Generally it's switched voltage. If you apply 12v and ground one way, it'll lock, flip it around, it'll unlock. It can be pretty easily accomplished with a couple of relays. Check out http://www.the12volt.com

jahntassa -that makes sens - its how rest of the system is. BTW the only structions that came with the kit was "plug purple wire into other purple wire, and other green wire into green wire, etc etc"

BTW - what a pain the ... reproductive organs.... to install these actuators. I ended up trying 15 different spots before I found one that works. That means before dark I got the drivers side installed. Well, I only got 3 spots I need to do. go Minivan!

Does anyone want to buy an extra acutator? it goes two ways, and is pretty damn strong. One knocked me on the arm and I got a bruise there now.
