what do you mean.. "damn remote turn on lead" .. the center rem terminal?

if so.. just attach the 12v yellow wire to it, as in the picture..

I'm guessing that the pin 14 & 15 have to be connected so you can recieve power, And on pin 11 it can be either orange or brown? EDIT: I guess he got my note on how it was might be confusing.

lol - just don't use a power hungry amp or your ps is toasted...

I played around with this for awhile using those emergency rechargable jumpstart battery packs...worked fairly well....

no. its that the amp i have which is OEM doesnt indicate any kind of turn on lead in the wiring diagram. im assuming it senses current on the input lines and turns on when it receives a signal, but im not 100% sure. its all a wait and see. plus i still need to get the proper wiring harness which will set me back another $25-30 (which is pricey for my current budget. a broke-*** college student with no job. )

Another thing to consider is that the PSU won't put out enough power on the 12V line to fully power the amp at 100% voilume so you have to be careful not to fry it.

My dell power supply shuts off as soon as I connect the amp, anyone know why this could be happening?

I would guess you either have a short somewhere or the amp is drawing to much power and the dell ps has a built in auto shut off to protect it from overload.

I would double check your connections and also ... turn the gains down maybe??
