    Question about harddrive?

    Hi All,
I am in the planning stages of putting my mini-itx EPIA M 900 in my 1992 accord.

I live in DC area and would like to know if I can leave my hard drive in the car can I expect it to survive the summer (around 110F max) and winter (20F min). I have a spare 40g laptop drive and a regular drive.

Can somebody who lives in similar or more extreme conditions suggest something? Would having some kind of different case help? Could somebody advise on the touch screen as well because i don't want to spend the money and have it die on me becuase of the cold or the heat.

    thanks.

I live in the D.C. area and am using a Fujitsu laptop 40gig drive and Xenarc 8" screen. The drive survived last summer and this winter. It froze once because the laptop drives use fluid bearings and it was single digits one day last winter. After 10 minutes it had warmed up and the drive started working. It was okay down to 15F.

Can't speak for the screen because I've only had it since January. The old screen died during the winter but it was neither a Xenarc or a Lilliput and was not a poster boy for quality anyhow.
