I'd be happy to due in car testing. Im good at writing manuals, but Im not a programmer so I wont be able to write an interface.
Is this where the witty comment goes?

yea... it prob goes by that name too

using scfm1 is ONLY needed for holes in metal can

a much cheaper say ALP1 will work too

but the cover wont go back, unless you drill you're own holes

i was thinking of a way to just use the alp1, and change my connectors
to a custom cable for the car appz

but for testing its not important...

Well, the only thing I see is the price difference, $70 difference in MSRP between the Starbase and the Alpine unit.... Have you tried an Alpine unit yet?

I find no REAL difference between the ALP1 and the SCFM1

I have them both and a JVC1 too, which is the same as a ALP1

im not using the "changer" side, just the TUNER

the SCFM1 is GND turn on, where the rest is VCC turn on

there is some power supply design changes in the SCFM1, acording to my source they are NOT designed by the same person

I think I might be able to get you a an ALP1
I have my own right now in the car.
I also have an alpine ext cable. Don't know if you need it.

Let me know. Me and you have the same goals.
I try to help you out with as much as you need.
