I didnt plan to remove one...

Im just thinking that i might change the design, to make it easiry on my cable i have to build, its very time consuming to make a 8 pin mini din to 3.5mm plug, and a db9 connector

i have some options, as to add a seperate jack on the board for audio
(then u have to drill a 3/16" hole)

or, a Combo 3.5 optical / analog audio jack (adds some costs)
but no hole drilling...

im working the concept out

Id rather have the digital. Im using an Audiobahn add51t processor. IT has digital in. But most pple would use the rca bc of how cheap processors and modulators are. Thanks

I would be much more apt to drill a hole, I hate 3.5mm jacks, they always get noisy over time

well... my first cable set, is 3.5mm PLUG, not jack!

the mini-din splits to a 3.5mm plug and a db-9 female
approx 3' long

drilling the 3.5mm hole is my easy way out, then i dont need to make a cable

i might be using a combo jack, that is 3.5mm that will be optical and analog out at same time
(heading this direction)

here is a picture of the product as it stands today

the cable takes me quite a bit of time to complete

i might change something cabling wise to speed up the process

I have 4 Units READY to go

Mitch...I have to ask - how are you making these PCBs so quickly? It seems like one second you are talking about an idea and 2 days later the PCBs are in your hands! How about all these custom connectors and everything?

well its not that fast

Im assembling it all my self

I got a nice set up, with solder paste dispenser, hot air tool for soldering

i might purchase a small reflow oven too

i made the custom cables... but i felt it was too tiedious
especially if i need to make a lot (depends on sales)

and might switch up connectors

everyone really complements me in the quality of my product

i really got about 5 other cool ideas, but its time,time time

OK, I had to make some minor connector changes on the board
because im having supplier issues with the cable
and i want to have OPTIONS

the new one will use a COMBO jack, that is OPTICAL and Analog audio at the same time!! its 3.5mm aka 1/8" stereo for analog, and mini for optical
I will supply the mini to TOSLINK

I have to raise the price to $59.00 to cover my costs better, Its still 40 less the TT!! + $6 Priority shipping... (and covers some paypal fees)

OH yea, I got Optical OUT!

im playing with Dale's Carpc app... very nice..
