    adaptor?

what the toslink optical, yes ofcourse

    its optical

    i think you are confused

    lets me find a picture

it just allows a standard TOSLINK connector, u could use a MINI cable

I will be selling some optical cables, and such soon too

very fair pricing, unlike radio shack

You said you were going to combine the rca + toslink together. And i was wondering if sound quality was going to be sacrificed becuase of that.

combined is a bad word here

the connector that carries audio is not rca jacks, but 1/8" (3.55mm) standard audio connector

    like that on the soundcard

the same connector that has the audio, has optical

its a really cleaver connector by SHARP electronics

its used on like Mini-Disc products, and on my M-Audio USB Transit

So do I just hook this up to the computer? No need to interface with the H/U? Also if I keep the old board that comes with the unit is it possible to switch back and forth between boards as in winter I will be pulling my carputer due to it being so friggin cold up in Canada.

I want a Serial unit to save space on the USB side.

it has nothing to do with alpine anymore.

    1 quesiton,

Does anyone here have a solution as far as using 2 optical inputs to their computer. My Audigy only has 1 input and thats being used by the XMPCR, are there any other ways to have 2 opt ins? I have yet to find a USB Optical IN, however i have found USB optical out devices.
