Trick the camera into thinking you're in reverse?
I am going to be installing a CCTV camera in my car for Rear View. Im going to hook it up to my Xenarc 700TSV. And the power will be hooked up to my Reverse Lights so it auto-switches on. Now basically that is the easy part. I want to be able to hit a switch or something while i am driving and still have access to view the camera. I dont want to have to be in reverse just to view the camera. Is there any way i can do this?

Yeah. Basically If i wanted to have the camera power on(so the xenarc would autoswitch), while i am driving. I just want to flip a switch if i am driving then the xenarc switches to AV2. But still have it hooked up to reverse.

assuming your monitor will support this auto switching to second source when provided, it would be a simple task of wiring a switch and a diode up. the switch would provide power as an alternative to the reverse lights providing power. you would need a diode to prevent your reverse lights from comming on when you flip just the switch.
