    hibernate issues being slow

    hello,

I remember when I first built my carpc.
    Specs:
    VIA Epia 12000 / 256MBDDR / 40GB 2.5" / WINXPPRO / Audigy 2ZS / 15" touchscreen / IMON VFD

Hibernate was alot faster. usually take about 3-5seconds to perform the (RESUME) Part of hibernate. but now it takes 15-20seconds to hibernate
I even tried booting up with no apps and unneccesory services!
a little faster but not impressive like it once was!

is there a boot time ide driver to allow drive access to be faster?

anyone know of any tips to make it hibernate faster...

I am intersted in this as well.

I upgraded to a p4 sysetem and 3.5 drive to increase speeds. While my boot times went from almost 2 minutes (something had to be wrong with the drive or cable) to 35 seconds with POST my hibernation times are relativly the same. I expected to see a dramatic increase but it went from ~45 seconds to ~25 seconds... almost as long as it takes to boot completely.

This is even when i don't have any USB devices plugged in. If anyone has any hibernation tips please let me know
