Yes, especially if you release your SIRIUS Hardware. I've been looking for a way to have XM & SIRIUS via digital input.
Question... Is there a need for a TOSLINK switcher?
it would be RS232 controlled... say 4 toslink ins, 1 out
i have made this for my home audio system... does the carputer people need something like this?

S60 Install
I need some excitement on this to make it cost effective for me to run a small quantity of them
im looking at a target $ of $100.00
but it could be less, this would cross over to HTPCs and other applications in the home theater

Are you going to sell plans, schematics, or kits as well as the final product?
I'm wondering if you can't just put in a normal switch for these lines? Of course I'm guessing that would work for coax, for optical you would need to add an amplifier.
no kits, no plans... just complete product...
i did offer kits on the early days of my XM product
no one wanted them, so i will only do complete products
and my prices are gonna be fair
fromplanetbob, what do u mean, physical switch?
my plans was rs232 controlled or usb controlled(virtual com) toslink switcher
anyone actually using coax in a car?? i wouldnt car is perfect for optical
