What do you have plugged into it? If you have 1.1 and 2.0 devices plugged into it, the hub reverts back to 1.1 speeds. If you don't have anything plugged into it yet, I would think that you may need some service packs or drivers.
Why is my new USB2.0 hub not identified as a 2.0 device? XP says this unit can go faster.

2000 Subaru OBS
Dell P3 @ 900 Mhz
7" Lilliput TS w/DigitalWW in-dash mount
80GB External HD
I am Zero Bitrate....
I have a 2.0 DVD drive into it and the damn thing won't even open the tray so I guess the hub is not working very good.
I have now tried with a USB2.0 flash mem with same result. This unit can go faster...

As for the USB DVD not being able to opne, USB 2.0 has nothing to do with the power available at the port. It is possible the DVD isn't opening because the DVD needs external power. Not opening doesn't sound like a 2.0 versus 1.1 problem. It sounds like a power problem.

Same result as what. Have you checked for updated/installed drivers?Originally Posted by Gredd

Do you have SP1 (Service Pack 1) or SP2 installed?
Thanks for helping!
SP2 is installed. The DVD-drive works as it should if I plug it in directly to the computer. It opens the tray without external power.
The cable from computer to hub is what I got with the hub so it SHOULD be compatible with 2.0 when the hub says USB2.0 all over.

Remember that the longer a thin wire is, the morevoltage and amperage loss. Since there is a long cable, and it is very thin, and that long cable supplies 4 ports in your hub from one port on your computer, you are gonna have power problems.
