Itz funny how ppl just get awed by looks and no substance....
The website is funny actually, they claim to have made all this testing on their hardware,,,, SURE!!!
The specs sound more like an atari than a PC...

    that's quite funny too.
coz in that case about half of the mp3car forumer would be using an atari by your standard.

i do agree that their website makes for interesting reading. none the less, i recognised that English isn't their native language.

Further to that, they DID in fact developed the motherboard themselves(being IPC maker).

this particular setup has been running for the past 3 weeks and i have to say it runs fairly well. sure, it's an atari, but it runs well. and it looks great too.

Hey ptk, do you have anymore pics of the T3?

I was considering getting an Eclipse AVN5495 or 7000, but then someone pointed me in the direction of carputers. I thought about it for awhile, but I don't feel like puttin one together. I've been using and tinkering, and eventually building/modding my computers since I was about 8 (20 now) so It's not that I'm computer illiterate, I'm sure it'd be fun to build my own but i chose not to go that route with this...

I'm more than likely going with this ($2700) or the AVN 5495

Most CarPC users I know are wayyyy disatisfied with the sub-par performance that you get w/ the VIA. I'm not knocking their English skills, probably better than most Americans, but they're trying to sell looks over substance.
I'd understand if the price would be lower, and I do reckon that it is a very nice looking piece. But come on!
Itz not my piece of cake,,, and that's all I can say...

ah. now that you put it that way, it's totally fair.

totally agree about the performance of the VIA CPU.

the only thrump card is that this is the only 7" DVI screen around. though i suspect more will pop out.
