    Which MoBo should I get?

OK…I know I’m going to get ripped for this one…(Sorry for the noobie question )
    Right now I have a VIA 600 with 512 PC133 and a notebook HD 40G
I wanna up grade, but I wanna keep my OPUS 120…

    What mobo should I get?
I ready wanna stay away for VIA unless I go with 12K, but that a $200+ board…
I know I could get a better board for a fraction of the price….but what should I get?
    Any recommendation…

I prefer the VIA MII10K (or greater) for automotive. the reason is the systems are better suited to the heat and cold better than a desktop motherboard.

Most motherboards are rated for Operating temperatures 5°C ~ 35°C

the Via ITX are rated for 0 ~ 50°C

This makes a big differance in a car. I have seen my car get to 45C in the afternoon. Most PC's would fail at that temp.

THe VIA also comes with a processor that is soldered in. other motherboards are in sockets. Sockets can fail due to dust and vibration.

VIAs are also take less power to operate. They will play DVD's,videos, MP3s, Run your navigation. 1.2Ghz is plenty of CPU for these operations

Playing games is not a priority for most with a carputer and the small screen is not good for gaming anyway.

OK...need help Here is what I got...
ASUS P4BGL-MX i845GL from ebay, I have not purchased a processor nor memory yet...
    assuming I went with a P4 Socket 478 (533 FSB) and 1 stick of 512 DDR

Using a power calculator with the following: (1) stick of DDR, NoteBook HD, about 3 USB Devises, Fans, and Monitor running of power supply (like before using my VIA 600) "Recommended Minimum Power Supply is 173 Watts Peak!"
I guess my opus 120 won't work what do you guys think
    Thanks

I think you made a poor choice if your intent was to use an Opus 150w.
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
    How about the Wiki?

My plan was to use a VIA board...which I did, but performance out of a via MoBo was (mainly the board I was using 600). I guess I need to purchase an opus 150

I don't think that will work witht he setup you're planning, either.
Look into a Keypower 250w (no shutdown controller or batter protection, though) or a Maestro sproggy.
There's someone else here developing a more potent car PSU as well.
