Some Basic Rear-View Camera Questions and is this the one I should get...?

I've been doing some research and this seems like the popular choice? What do you guys think?

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=5786102729

Now I was going to get the power adapter for it as well for 1.99 and free shipping. I'd wire them into my rear-view tail lights and I have a Xenarc 700 TSV which means when the reverse lights are on, the camera would turn on which means my video would switch. All is well and that would make sense HOWEVER, what if I want the option to view the cam even while driving (not in reverse). How is that wired then if its wired just to the reverse lights?

Is it my understanding that its wired both to the reverse ligths and a constant 12V signal? I use Frodoplayer and would probably use FrodoCam which I could just click on to view the camera.

What are the ways to wire it to accomplish what I want (work in reverse automatically but while normally driving, still be able to view it?)

    Thanks for help in advance!

You need to wire a switch in parallel to the 12v on the reverse light with a diode to prevent current flow to the light bulb when you flip the switch, then you can have both worlds.

I have one of these and, IMHO, the picture quality leaves a lot to be desired. It's also huge!

Well for the price I wouldnt expect to have the best quality. Do you have any other camera suggestions I should look at? Maybe you can go into some more detail about wiring in parallel with a diode? That would be great.

    Thanks.

jthiani you got any pics? I'd be interested in seeing some quality out of it.

Even if anyone else has any other suggestions I would like to know.

    Thanks.
