HOW TO: Get sound from PC to Car Stereo / Amp
Alright, so i ended up at a computer show today and figured I'd start my project. I want a 100% computer sound system with NO head unit. So I have the computer and i have a couple of questions.
1) i know i need a dc-dc PS, but how can i automaticly turn the computer on, say when the ACC is on? And off when the car tunrs off?
2) for the AC' 97 onboard sound, can i just get a steiro-to-rca and plug that in to run sound to the amp?
1) Search for shutdown controller
PC Chips 1500,512mb ddr,no case yet, LinITX 7" touchscreen,300w inverter,RoadRunner FreeDrive,BU303 gps mouse.
ok, my-bad with the not searching. Better question is that my micro-ATX board, chip, mem, combo drive, etc will need more than the 150watts the opus can supply. So, after a quick talk with my EE buddy he suggested that I run two in parallel. Um, can this be done? i know it will be super expensive, but I would rather not run an inverter in my car. Or, should i just scrap this idea and shop for a inverter?
