    trunk cooling

hey guys.....i have a 165 watt carputer with a heat sinker and a standard fan that came with my case. i also have a power invertor that has a built in fan. i am mounting my carputer in the center of my trunk in my 2000 323ci e46 bmw....meaning that is plenty ventilated and everything is exposed. well my trunk is still very hot..and my carputer gets way too hot and overheats and shutsdown within 15 minutes of running my carputer. anyone have any idea what i should do...any bmw e46 owners out there have any suggestions. i looked at liquid cooling but dont feel like paying 150 for it. what kinda fans should i get..and even if i get enough fans..its still gonna be hot in my trunk..atleast for the next few months while its 90 here everyday

try an aluminum case... i built a case out of an old box from a game that was made of aluminum and noticed that it dissapates heat a lot better.

I dont know if your vehicle would have this. On my car there is a air flap on the side quarter panel below the rear bumpler that goes into the trunk. That would be a great way to bring in cool air and exhaust hot air. Make sure you use a filter on it thought. VERY DUSTY down dirt roads.

Its not original, its just something no one has failed yet!
