    Well bad news friends

Looks like they couldn't pull of our requests and just gave up.

They are restoring the original bios for me and giving me a refund.

Every one who contributed financially will be paypalled back very shortyly, I left all the money in my paypal account in case this hapened. Unfortunatly it did.

At least we gave it a shot.

    grr!

    Thanks for trying Antimatter..

I'll shortly find out if a larger psu (zootjeff's 220w) makes a difference with regard to the suspend/resume issue.

Tuned_Vitesse, could you post some photos of your BIOS config, since suspend seems to work properly for you.. thanks..

Will sort something out soon. Need to get digi camera back off mate.

My Board is screen printed Rev.A in big letters near PCI slot.

Just tried suspend and reboot again, it works fine. Have all power saving turned off. Set to resume off PCI & USB (mouse & anykey) TS will turn on PC.
using S1&S3 setting. PnP OS =Yes

Can't think of any other setting which you may need. Ask me for what you aren't sure about and I'll check mine.

Smile Whats the problem, mines fine

It takes approximately 10 seconds to go from ON-->Standby-->ON I don't mean just screen is visible but it is actually playing music again (with a break of 8secs.) and is useable as normal after 10secs. Some of that delay is caused by the CRT screen being slow to warm and be visible once it's VGA is triggered and it clicks on to the set screen resolution.

Maybe its your PSU's as I run on a normal 240v 400w P4 ATX PSU

Just done it 4 times whilst typing this and all spunky dory

I believe mine is Rev.A too

    go ahead rub it in

When you get a chance i would like to see any pictures you can produce

Did you do a fresh install of XP or an upgrade?
What sort of hardware are you runnng besides the PSU?

    Thanks tuned for helping out

    I was doing some research.

The Windows alert sound keeps repeating
The Windows alert sound may play repeatedly when resuming from standby. This is a reaction
triggered by an application that isn’t fully compatible with STR. If you have such an application
running when you enter standby, it may cause the PC to perform abnormally when it wakes up. To
stop the continuous alert sounds, close the open application and reboot the PC.
That beep that sounds seems to indicate an application not fully compatable with STR (s3)

I wonder if we try to close all applications. I will be doing some more indepth tests after i get my motherboard back

I know that closing everything does not change anything on mine and a AC PSU does not change it either. It just fails from S3 whenever it feels like failing. (which is more often than not)
