PCMCIA Extension - Type 3 to Type 2

I need to put a double thickness type 3 card in a single thickness type 2 slot, does anyone know if anything like a PCMCIA extension cablen that would allow this?

I want to put a type 3 diagnostics card into a Libretto that has a single type 2 slot. I believe the connector is basically the same, the issue is the height of the slot. As such if I can locoate a dummy card with a connector that hangs out of the back I should be able to use it, I think.

Mmmm to my mind you are a bit limited because most laptops that have the double sockets will take all types by default.

All I can suggest is you find an old ISA / PCI PCMCIA adaptor and use that .... but I have a funny feeling that the Libretto did not even have a full docking station either.

PS - Worst case you could try and make one from bits I spose...

You're right... the Libretto kind of sucks, I guess I'll just have to use a regular laptop as my diags machine!
