Question remote turn on lead from headunit to power up PC

I have a DCDC PSU and I already have power distribution in the trunk of my car, so I don't want to run another line and put a switch on it up front. I would like to have the DCDC power up when I start the car and power down when I turn it off. So the remote turn on lead that turns on my amps would appear to be the obvious easy choice. Is there anyway to do this?? I have the Arise 865V DCDC supply. Thanks a lot!

Just use a big fat relay to switch the battery voltage going into the PSU. If your remote turn on lead doesn't have enough power to drive the relay, use an emitter follower or open collector transistor to give it more juice.

Would Radio Shack have such a relay or will I have to go somewhere else? Do you know of any such place where I can get the relay? If the remote turn on lead wouldn't work, could the accessory wire from the car work better? Thanks.

Radio Shack has a 12V 30amp realy. They label it as an automotive relay. (it's black) That should work perfectly.
