    Post OT: Digital Camera

I was thinking of purchasing a digital camera. The only one i can find in my budget is a:

    HP PhotoSmart 215
    - 1.3 megapixel resolution
    - 1.8" color lcd screen
    - 2x digital zoom
    - USB

$299 Canadian (its from a local paper so i guess i could find it cheaper somewhere else)

Has any1 used this camera and satisfied with it? And whats the difference between Optical zoom and Digital zoom?

I know its off topic but i didnt know where to post it.

Optical zoom uses a lense to get a bigger picture. Digital zoom resizes the image digitally, similar to what you would do in Photoshop.

Ok, I had this very camera up until the weekend before last. I had a break-in on my Landcruiser. I really liked this camera. On the bad side - batteries take very few pictures if you are using flash. During the day though it is no problem. You absolutely need Nickel Metal Hydride batteries and at least two sets. And the 4mb card that comes with it is not enough. I had a 40mb card, and you could have 130 pictures at the highest resolution. With these two additions - good batteries, and bigger memory card - this is respectible camera.

    Hope this helps...Mab ~ Mp3Mad
