    Looking at buying a PC-Chips M789CG

    http://www.ewiz.com/detail.php?p=MB-...63b2ff85735441

    for $65 shipped ..

it's slightly larger than the via mini ITX boards, but seems to be much cheaper for the features, I'm planning on making matching systems.. one for my wife and I .. I have been using normal comodity hardware, but the power requirements have killed my M1-ATX finally, so I want to go a more power effecient route, and cheap.

what I'm wondering: What does anyone know about possable performance issues.. or any issues I should be aware of.

    thanks in advance!
    Shawn

    i went with a pc chips m851g (flex-ATX)

worked fine for me except the onboard sound card doesn't work

just bear in mind that pc-chips are notoriously rubbish boards

i bought it off ebay so no replacemenet for me, i've got no idea whether it was just my board or not

    it seems to run fine

is that 6 ports using header pins off of the motherboard?
cos i didn't get a header card and tried using a different one and proceeded to fry my gps receiver

I agree with GreenBeast's assessment of the quality of PCChips boards. I've had experiences wit **** quality boards by PCChips, as well.
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
    How about the Wiki?
