I dont know if anyone has posted about this yet, but I read about this at tomshardware.com and figured this could possibly be the future in portable hard drives. Looks interesting for sure!

Hitachi offers up to 6GB and performance exceeds that of solid state with good shock performance as well.

You've got to think though that 5GB is just a start for this sort of thing.
I remember my first hard drive was 30MB and that seemed HUGE. The thing took up two full expansion slots in my 8088.
This time next year that 5GB mini drive will be half the price and hold 20 GB.
