    Time compensation in a car-pc

Is there any point in getting a "physical dsp" or can everything be done via some program like winamp??
Or does many soundcards have dsp?

    any comments on results?

When I read the title I thought you were asking about a flux capacitor.

Why do you need something like this? Just curious.

As most people sit on one side of the car and both speakers from an audiosystem plays the sound at the same time, You can use a time-compensation/delay so that the sound from the nearest speaker is delayed some milliseconds or so. Result - it sounds like you are sitting in the center of both speakers...

I know this can be done with some kind of winamp plugin but I dont know which is good.

There have been plenty of discussions on this. Search for things like "sound alignment", "time correction", "dsp", etc.
