looking for hobbyist in NOVA area to install

I do not have time to build one myself. I am looking for a hobbyist who can quickly install carpc in my 2003 honda civic sedan.

Please let me know if you are interested, I will pay.

Quickly = more $$. How much do you have budgeted for the PC and screen itself?

when i say quickly i mean "not have my car in your shop for 3 weeks".

After researching more I already have a laptop in my car that I want to use.

How much will you charge to install a touchscreen to interface with my laptop?

I'll charge you my company's hourly rate for onsite work: $120/hour.
Ship me the laptop and the touchscreen at your expense. Don't forget to include a label for return shipping. (Make note of the fact that I am not in the NoVa area).

Seriously, though.... Installing a touchscreen on a laptop isn't that difficult...
    1) Install drivers.
    2) Connect touchscreen USB cable to laptop.
    3) Calibrate touchscreen.
    4) Enjoy.

If you're having difficulties pulling THAT off, then vehicle computing isn't the hobby for you.
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
    How about the Wiki?

Falls church here, and 6 years of pro car audio install before moving to NoVa. Not sure you realize what this is going to cost you.

What system do you want installed? Do you have any clue whats involved? I've seen your other post. You are probably looking at ~$2-3k to get everything you need and installation. If you dont want to go through the work of learning and searching for deals, you are going to pay!

Answer these questions before we can answer yours:

Do you want the screen molded into the dash?
Do you want to keep your head unit? If so, forget about molding the screen into the dash. If not, do you have the amplifier needed?
Do you want any custom work done?
Do you have a Carnetix p1900 for power? Do you have the additional +5v rail for accessories?
Do you have the software, GPS device? Wifi, etc?
Do you have the patience to work with the software or do you expect a turn-key solution with no problems or bugs?
Do you expect the installer to install new speakers and a sub?
Do all of these questions make sense to you?

My advice for you is to hang out in the newbie section for a while. Raise up your post count and do a lot of reading.

Cool! I've always wanted to get an old Bug and convert it to an electric car.
