MII12000 pci issue

I seem to be having an issue with the pci slot on my board. Everytime i put a card in the pci slot everything goes all messed up. When i look in device manager the following devices all do nto work properly anymore.
Secondary IDE controller
Standard Floppy Controller
Com 1 & 2

It doesnt seem to matter what kind of card "video/nic/audio" I install in the slot it always happens. Wheni remove the card and reboot the system the Devices are still messed up. I try to remove the device and reinstall drivers and it wont reinstall them properly. I have to repair or reinstall windows for it to resolve the issue. What is going on with this board? Any ideas?

I've 0 experience with the M12K but could be an IRQ conflict? Check ur bios and see if you have anything crazy going on - ie. loads of shared IRQs. If the option is there set it to plug and play os and this might hide all the IRQ options and sort it out automatically.

Might help, might not. But at least i tried!
