Post Where can i get a Q-Lity Book PC?

I need a book pc with a pci card slot and a serial input. This one seems to have both. Any ideas on where to get it?

how come in that ebay thing it said there is no expansion slots? I have an old model of book pc and it has 2 slots. Just curious... looks like something to upgrade to in the future.

Is that a video and audio rca slots in the back of the unit.... i didnt really read anything about it but they look like they are.

Fry's is a giant electronics and god-knows-what-else store staffed by incompetent assholes who have a habit of repackaging returned/defective items and selling them as new. At least, that's how the one in Oregon is. If you know what you're buying, it's not too bad of a place to shop (if you can get past the said incompetent assholes who work there). I got a barebones K6-2 there a while ago and I haven't had many problems with it, but I know of other people who have been sold very obviously used hardware as new and who have returned defective items only to find the same item in the same box back on the shelf a couple hours later, with the same defect.

Hey we have a couple of those stores in wisconsin! only they call it milwaukee pc or mpc. Toatal idiots who just try to screw you over. I had to buy some ram for my book pc, and i was talking to the guy and the same book pc that i bought they were selling for $300 more.

They sell a bunch of used crap as new. The only reason they survive is computer newbies who dont know anything about computers spend out ragious amount of money for something that they can get from best buy cheap. I guess its cause they feel hey if its a store in my small town it must be better! i hate those idiots

the only thing about fry's is their return policy. 30 days, new or used. i have an old 56k modem laying out in the garage that they wouldn't take back because it had been more than 30 days even though it was defective to begin with. basically don't give fry's any real amount of money >$50
because there is no guarantee that you can get it back.
