Thought this might be useful for people wanting to build up their own DC 2 DC supplies:
Product X7654 on that page seems to contain two L296 switching regulator circuits, which could probably be used to provide two regulated voltages for a motherboard for example (most likely with a small amount of modification). Hmmm, not bad for £3.95.
If this is a goer, I'll probably replace my ugly stripboard based switcher with this (and get rid of the linear 12V regulator at the same time...!)
