    Post Screenless GPS

I'm thinking about integrating a CPS into my system. Anybody know the names of some units that don't have a built-in screen on them?

You mean like the Garmin 35 receiver?

One without any internal mapping or user interface or anything. Basically just a receiver to plug into another device, on which the information from the receiver is displayed and whatnot. Like the Delorme unit that's being discussed in another thread.

I'm now using the RandMcNally one that comes bundled with some software. The positives are that it uses power from a ps/2 port, requires no direct initialization (to the reciever itself), and is fully NMEA compliant.

The negatives are that it uses ps/2 port for power (in place of a keyboard), and it takes a long time to get a fix on satellites if you're moving.
