Thread: Is this pre-built unit any good???

1) It's not Intel-based. It's Via EPIA-based. HUGE difference.
2) It's way overpriced.

Is it good? Yeah. Its' the same setup that the majority of people are installing in their cars. If you're a power junkie, I'd look at a Pentium Mobile or an AthlonXP mobile based setup... However, those don't come pre-built.

At $695 it might be a decent deal.
I wouldn't expect it to go for that price, however. It's the nature of Ebay.

I'm also curious what software they're including with it for all the functionality they indicate... Someone tried to distribute FrodoPlayer with hardware sold on Ebay before. That's a violation of his license agreement...
But I digress.

Yes, you should be able to run iBus software. And you can run any frontend you want and use or make a BMW skin.

I suggest you do some reading about what you want to accomplish before you start buying hardware. You're gonna paint yourself in a corner if you don't. Come up with a gameplan before you blindly purchase something you believe to be a good deal.
