    My Setup

OK this is gonna be my first build. IT's going into and nissan altima 03-06(still not sure which year ill gonan get yet).

    The pc includes

    msi micto-atx motherboard
    amd 64 mobile 3700+
    512-1024 corsair 3200 ram
    250g SATA seagate 3.5 harddrive
    audigy 2 zs

    and possible
    ubs/firewire pci card
    serial pci card

motherboard has onboard video but i could get any PCIx16 card

i think opus 150 will power it all but im not quite sure yet. i want to avoid inverter at all costs.

I'm kind of doubting the Opus 150 is going to power your setup. Use a power calculator to see how much your setup will use.
AMD XP 2600+/512MB RAM/120GB hard drive
    Opus 150W/DVD/GPS/7" Lilliput TS/802.11g/Bluetooth
    Installed.

    Not even close.
    The Opus provides 60w on the 12v rail (12v X 5A = 60w). The CPU itself consumes over 80w.
If you meant the 2700+ w/ 1mb L2 cache, it consumes even more (89w). The version w/ 512mb L2 cache only consumes 35w, however. That may very well work with an Opus 150. But you're making a performance sacrifice in that case.

And if he meant 2700 then he wasn't talking about a AMD 64bit CPU then.

I'd probably get a 2100 Mobile. Even that is more than plenty for mp3/gps and divx all at the same time. Depending on your video card you'd be able to play any game you want with that.

I'm powering my screen from tapping into the acc line (the one that goes to my cig lighter). That way my screen turns off when the car turns off. I would read up on powering your lcd before you do anything. There are plenty of posts on this in the lcd forum.

Plenty to spare. I've got it underclocked to 2100.
