I don't see why you couldn't I don't know a lot about LCDs but I bet you could pick up a spliter at radio shack or fry's or a store of the sort.

I was wondering if it were possible to possibly split a video out signal from a controller card to two lcd devices so that the lcd in the back of the car was totally in sync to the lcd in the front dash.
But would the signal be too weak? It would be a great cost effective solution to have multiple lcds by only having one controller card.
I think I have seen a spliter somewhere before... for like 2 monitors.
more than that I think you would need some kind of signal amp.
I know they make spliters that drive like 4 or more monitors, but they cost a lot. They use them to display monitors in my local computer shop. they hook up like 10 monitors to this "vga spliter / signal amp" box, and they hook the box to one pc.
but like I said, I think I remember seeing a 2 way for pretty cheap... 30.00 USD

These should keep you busy for a while
What you might want to look into is a monitor switch so you can plug a few lcds into it but then switch to just have one on at a time
sorry I don't know more about this, but I know they are around

Wide awake
and keeping distance from my soul - Tool
Here's a bit of a twist on that...I want to use VGA for the 10.4" in-dash LCD, but just use RCA Video for the two rear 5" lcds. (this is for future plan of course...I have a character LCD now) I have an ATI All-in-Wonder Radeon that outputs both, but when the lcd output is on, the VGA output seems to lose some quality. Any ideas on a way to do both with decent quality?
i have an ati all in wonder 16mb card and it runs my 10.4" vga lcd along with 2 5" lcd"s with no visible loss. as far as splitting a vga signal you can do it with a y cable that is relatively short but you should use a powered splitter. i bought one for S70. only problem it is 9 volts! i am not going to use it because the other screen isn't a tft so my dvd's drag. i would be willing to sell it for $50 just to get rid of it. just let me know. it is about 4 weeks old but i'm not using it.

AMD K6-3 450, 15GB HD, 256M Ram
DVD, 10.4" touchscreen, 2-5' lcd's, ati all in wonder 16mb, Wireless Keyboard, Alpine, MB Quart, JL, Audio Control,
Winamp w/ Album List Plug-In
The Best Idea is to use the Matrox Millenia G450 card (I think its 450... not sure)Its cheap and has TV, SVideo, and a VGA out, plus there are TWO video cards in one. It has the fastest 2d video rate (but the cruddiest 3d output) of almost every new card on the market.
What you'll find is 2 VGA connectors on the bracket of the card, but the secondary can have an "adaptor" which an RCA/Svideo cable is plugged into the 15-pin.
Mad cheap too.
Free entrance to heaven? WOW! I DUN BELIEVE! JC!
For those using the 10.4" vga lcds, how do you have them using vga quality without a controller card? I didnt think the ati could support lcd displays.
