Unhappy DVD Playback on LCD problem

I'm currently using my slimslot DVD/firewire drive to TRY to play DVD movies. It works flawlessly on the monitor, but for some reason, after the FBI warning when the movie comes in, the LCD signal just DIES. The only way to get it back is to quick the program, go to options and turn off and on the TV switch.

I'm using PowerDVD 4. Anyone successful at playing a DVD on your LCD screen?? (I'm using an old 6.4" SANTECA screen)

Just a guess, but perhaps it is changing to a refresh rate or resolution that the LCD does not support?
