if anyone comes across this problem on their systems, I contacted iBase and they sent me a new bios file that resolved all the issues.
Hey everyone,
Well I completly rebuilt my carpc over the last couple weeks and now i'm having some issues and i'm curious as if anyone else is having the same problems as I am. I have the MB896 ITX motherboard running a Pentium M 1.8ghz with a opus 120 PSU. The machine works awesome if I use hibernate mode, but when I switch to standby it may or may not come out of sleep, sometimes it will come right back up and start playing music, other times it will power up for about 5 seconds and then turn right back off and then it won't turn back on untill I disconnect the power supply and reconnect it. At first I thought it was my opus 150 doing it since that power supply was around 3 years old and has been through hell. But it does the same exact thing with the 120. My battery is fine because it's almost brand new, I have also tried disconnecting everything except the LCD just to see if it was some USB device that was causing the problem. i'm pretty much out of ideas at this point and just wanted to see if anyone was experiencing the same thing.

I have had almost no problems with my MB896 car pc. I stay away from standby mode because of the past bad experieces. I have noted on several platforms that if you go into standby with an application running that has a logical serial port open to a USB GPS, that the system will hang at wake-up (this is a real mess in the car). I don't have this problem with save to disk, however it does take a lot longer to wake-up. I am using Media Engine and Iguidance and both wake from hibernation correctly.
