i installed the latest drivers for my carpc. since my home system also uses the same audio chipset as my carpc (via sb 8236), i went and updated those drivers too.

the issue is, when i went and checked the output settings in winamp, i lost my hardware acceleration. no longer supported. it was supported before the driver update.

questions:
and benefits for having hardware acceleration (quality, performance, etc)?
is there a recent driver that will let me re-enable it?

i am using the vinyl drivers 6.50a.
