If via has a bad psu post code beep then they get props, but if their bad ram code is 1 short 3 long then then they need to get their heads out of their asses and make some changes. Do you have a link to where you read that?
was an email from tech support which I dont have anymore it had a whole list of codes in it. Why do you think they need to get their heads out of their asses? 1 short 3 long goes way back to when IBM made real computers. What you think the standard award bios any other beep is ram is a good idea?
Again I state that the long beeps was very definately a bad power supply and not ram on mine because a new power supply sorted it out.
Hey Bash1979 - did you ever figure this out?
I'm having the exact same behaviour with my new M2-ATX: 3 long beeps, everything has power, but no boot and no VGA.
I have a car show tomorrow...I hope someone can help suss this out...
Well, I tried a new M2-ATX and it seemed to work for a couple days....but now, it's back.
It seems like when i leave the car in the driveway (instead of the garage) on a chilly night, the next morning's bootups always cause me problems. The only difference with mine is that it's not just 3 long beeps....it's infinite long beeps (until i power off).
I've learned to live with it for now, only because i'm lacking the time to troubleshoot it. But if you ever find out how to fix it, please let me know!
I've also fired an email to the MFR so hopefully they can help me (and really hopefully before my car show tomorrow)
had the same problem i found that my ram was seeted but not quite right fixed that no problem in a week.
