fiberglass molds are expensive (very)... if you are good with a powersaw you could use MDF to form the extention and go to a craft shop and get matching vinly. it won't be 100% perfect but it will match to the point that where it is bearly noticable
OK, I'm looking to install my LCD in my console, however it's gonna require I move some things around. My idea was to change the center console by making it protrude more towards the driver.... However this isnt that important.
What is important is this question...... drum roll please....
OK how would I add a piece to my console that would look stock? This will be in a very visible position in the car, so I would like to look as normal as possible. The car's interior is gray with a grain to it... Like most cars. I thought about using wood for the extra piece, but nothing else is wood in the car... Does anyone know where you can get fibreglass molds done maybe (in Quebec)? Or even how much they would cost?
Any ideas!?!??!
Thanks

Uhhhh.. what's MDF?
Thanks
Medium Density Fiberboard. It's what I made my speaker boxes out of
It's a highly compressed, water and fire resistant wood pulp.
Easy to cut to shape, too![]()
Fire resistant wood?! hahahah what is this world comming to?
