Commell LV-675D Pentium M board

I did a search and came up with one thread:

Does anyone have any experiences with this board?

I like the fact that it's optic right on the board....to the best of my knowledge, this is the only board in the mini-itx form factor - that has optic (tos-link) out right on the board?

are there others?

Hey:

I looked at the Commell boards, but decided that they were too expensive (or I was too cheap) and instead went with an EPIA SP-13000 board. While its coax digital output is a little low for some hardware, I discovered that it is very easy to add a TOSLINK interface. There is an S/PDIF output connector on the main board, and all you need to do is connect it to a TOSLINK transmitter. I tested it first with a red LED and it works like a charm. I then dug up a TOSLINK transmitter and hooked it up, and glued it right beside my line in, line out and microphone jacks. It has been working fine for two weeks now.

I like those boards quite a bit, especially the MB899, but I'm no expert when it comes to this level of computer hardware. I guess a visit to Toms Hardware or the like is in order!

Unless anyone on here can give me input (outside of the scope of price)?

Can someone tell me which has the strongest onboard VGA?

The MB896 is a excellent board, the only issues i've had is with standby, but i'm not entirely sure it's the mobo on this one. They both use intel graphics, the MB899 has a higher chipset number but I still doubt it will do 800x480.

Don't really care about 800x480 anymore. I just want the one with the best graphics chip. Would that be the 899?

The 899 is also Socket 478 instead of 479. Does that make any difference?

where'd you score a chip for that board.....I can't seem to find anything on eBay, and my MII's performance lately is beginning to bug me....
