full size is bad news, in my experience
I went with an SBC, very few crashes, mostly my fault, just went on a 6 hour drive without a hitch
ok i've had my setup now for about 6 months...
currently at 512mb sdram i think (maybe ddr i forgot its been some time) in biostar ncg400 i think... opus 150w and audigy 5.1, 80gig 5400 rpm hard drive
but - its unstable... i frequently have crashes (software related? video drivers? i dunno). 15 min into driving sometimes the thing just craps the bed as if i'm unplugging it from the wall. i reset it it turns right back on and could go for hours...
i am sick of it all - it looks ghetto when the **** doesnt work...
What do you guys do for stable? i'm thinking a rebuild is in order, and i am trying to go as small as humanly possible. Whats your sys specs?
would installing windows onto a media card/jump drive solve problems? no moving parts on those guys - less concern with bumps etc from causing crashes?

Check how hot it runs.
dont think its hot, 15 min in it crashes, 3 hours it will run w/no problem

Check to see if you have any cards that can jump out/lose connection. Maybe some drive's IDE or molex connector.Originally Posted by nsmoller
