    Best replacement frontend

I've got my carputer installed and running and working, and it's good. Bad news is it's a pain to use, cause i'm just controlling it blindly with a keyboard.
I'd like to use a touchscreen, but I can't really afford one and I'd rather not have a $300 piece of equipment tacked to the dash - my car's bright orange and stands out enough without having expensive goodies inside. I also don't think I can hide it in the dash - the 80's style dash doesn't lend itself to molding in a screen or even a folding-screen.

For awhile I had the idea of using my Treo600 as a frontend of some sort, but I couldn't find any software to make it work. I also thought about a cheap PS1 screen and a numeric keypad, but I like being able to 'jump to track' in winamp.

    Suggestions?

If you want to go cheap.

I would just spend the money and get a touch screen. But you could always go with the firefly remote http://www.snapstream.com/products/firefly/default.asp .It supports like 80 different programs http://www.snapstream.com/products/f...portedapps.aspand winamp.

Or use the mouse wheel to control everything you want with MWI.

I hadn't known about that prog, but I searched for it and I like the concept. Just gotta figure out the sendmessage params for winamp commands, and then i'll give it a shot.

    Thanks
