I seperated a laptop screen from the laptop, and extended the cables(except for the backlight inverter). What is the process for mapping the wires so I can hook it up to a desktop through the moniter port? is this even possible?

I just love tinkering, and I like the 10.5 inch screen instead of 7 or 8.
What kind of card do I need, and where could I find it?
