There is also one (you can read!) at www.epiacenter.com . Although it states that no mpeg2 or 4 codecs currently work with the chipset!! Still looks like it is quite an improvement over past board performances.

I would like to know how any else gets on with this board. There are a few people over at the VIAARENA forums saying they can't get XP installed!

We are, will have and forever will be...
But not tommorrow!
Sounds like a few problems. Hopefully they can be resolved with updated bios/drivers. Hope so as this does look like a promising board.
??? Sounds like spam meant to look like misunderstanding...Originally Posted by Carputer_miniPC

Please post on the forums! Chances are, someone else has or will have the same questions as you!
It turns out that my board that I thought was defective just needed an bios update. Got windows installed and running test as we speak.Originally Posted by inniss777

Dunno whether to get the EN or the Jetway J7F2... or wait for the LianTec, DFI or MSI offerings...
Comparing the EN and the Jetway, the EN offers S/PDIF both In and Out on headers, which is unusual for mini-itx boards (no I/O brackets supplied though... doh!), and 4 x USB rear panel ports. The Jetway offers a range of daughterboard I/O expansion, but Via only offers DVI or LVDS daughterboards. I've heard too that Speedfan works with the EN, which may compare to the Jetway MyGuard hardware control software.
New Jetway review here, EN reviews here, here and here.
Interested to know whether Via, Jetway or any of the other manufacturers have sorted out the issue with drivers for CN700 hardware acceleration for MPEG2 or MPEG4?
